How often is this Texas plan-change tracker updated?

Every day. Each morning, after plans sync from the official Texas Power to Choose dataset, TexasPowerCost.com snapshots plan prices and terms and compares them with the previous day to report what was added, withdrawn, or repriced. The page keeps a rolling history at one stable URL.

What counts as a plan "change"?

A plan is reported as changed when its EFL price points (500, 1,000 or 2,000 kWh), its effective rate, contract term, plan type, or renewable percentage differs from the previous day. New plans appear in today's data but not yesterday's; withdrawn plans were present yesterday but are gone today.

Can I subscribe to plan changes?

Yes. An RSS feed at /plan-changes.xml publishes one entry per day summarising the new, withdrawn and repriced plans, so you can follow Texas market changes in any feed reader.

Are TDU delivery charges included in this tracker?

Not automatically. TDU (utility) delivery charges for Oncor, CenterPoint, AEP Texas and TNMP are set by the PUCT and change roughly twice a year, not daily, and the amounts are published in tariff filings rather than the plan feed. When a TDU adjusts its delivery charges, it is noted in the TDU section by hand.

Does a plan change mean I should switch?

Not necessarily. A repriced plan only matters for your bill at your actual usage level. Use the comparison tool with your real ZIP and usage to see whether any change affects the cheapest plan for your home.
